VIDEO: Joan Jett, Carrie Brownstein, Other Rockin’ Badass Chicks Want You to Vote

Carmen’s Team Pick:

It’s Election Day, and you’ve probably already been inundated with messages encouraging you to vote since you woke up. If you’re like me, you also woke up in the middle of the night thinking about voting. (JK, I forgot it was Election Day until it was time to go to work.) And even though the entire universe is urging you to do your civic duty and vote today, I’m chiming in with the best reason of all: ’cause Joan Jett and a bunch of other badass chicks say so.

Don’t get a bad reputation this Election Day. VOTE, DAMN IT.

  1. On behalf of those of us who can’t vote (hurrah for not being a citizen), please do – and please also check out your candidates’ policies on immigration. Immigrants are in a really bad position politically because we get the brunt of gov policy but don’t have a lot of avenues for advocacy because again, we can’t vote. So think about us at the polls :)

  2. The fact that the next president is likely to put three, maybe even four, new judges on the Supreme Court is all the reason anyone needs to vote for whoever the democratic candidate turns out to be.
