The Internet Out-Internets Itself With Hannah Hart + Kittens

I want you to close your eyes and think of the most adorable thing in the world. And now I want you to think of the second most adorable thing in the world. And now I want you to take those two things and mash them together. What cuteness have you conjured in that noggin of yours? Lesbian internet sensation Hannah Hart + kittens, right? Of course that’s where your mind went. Hannah Hart + kittens is the most charming couplet known to humankind. It is literally the apotheosis of internet life!

But guess what? You don’t have to just picture it in your brain parts and quietly swoon to yourself. Hannah has tag-teamed with gay automobile-maker Subaru for a thing called Have a Hart Day, in which she travels around the country and visits organizations that could use a helping hand. The first installment features an organization that is very, very important to me in my life: The ASPCA!

I am, at this very moment, sitting on the floor in my spare bedroom covered in four kittens and typing this post. I found these guys when they were five weeks old and super feral, and the ASPCA is the only reason they’re still alive. The ASPCA offers free classes about Trapping, Neutering and Returning feral cats; classes on trapping and socializing feral kittens; classes on taking care of feral cat colonies; free and reduced cost spay/neuter and vaccination services; free and reduced cost equipment for taking care of kittens; a big, huge giant shelter (where Hannah is in this video) for socializing street kittens; a seemingly endless network of other animal-loving volunteers; and so so so much more. I have worked with countless Make The World Better organizations over the years, and the ASPCA is hands-down the most efficient and effective one.

Just look!

  1. Hannah Hart maybe just the most adorable gentle being. I dunno what the world would do if she ever teamed up/dates Ellen Page

  2. Just when I think I can’t get any gayer, along comes Hannah Hart with a bunch of kittens. Also your cats are adorable, and the ASPCA looks like a fantastic organisation, so everything is awesome!

  3. BUT HEATHER YOU’RE SO GOOD WITH THE LITTLE BABY KITTIES!!!! I followed your videos on them on FB like a crazy cat lady. <333333333333

  4. Thanks for featuring our series Heather!!! I can’t wait to show you guys what we shot for episode 2!! <3

  5. Ngggh just reminded me of this consignment shop run by a cat rescue/shelter group that has fenced corner area with free range cats you can get in play with. There’s toys and everything but I can’t go there right freaking now cause it’s 5am and I have nasty sinus infection in which all I smell is blood.
Cat dander exposure would not be prudent.
    :(

  6. “gay automobile maker-Subaru”…I really hope they embrace that lol

This was such a feel good story!! Baby kittens! The Bobbis! Oh man, I wanna go volunteer at a shelter now!
