Halloween is my High Holy Day as well!
Thank you for writing this. I had a milder version of Scout’s experience a few weeks ago (unwanted contact at a bar) and NOBODY around me understood why I could/should be upset.
1. I have been a casual Autostraddle reader since like, 2009, but ever since the Grease Rats appeared on here, I check here every Saturday (I know, it’s like every three Saturdays but still) RELIGIOUSLY because I freaking love comics and webcomics (always have) but I am especially obsessed with yours. /fangirlrant
2. I am SO INTO the fact that Scout is dressed up as Jughead because Jughead is my favorite character in anything, ever. Yes, I have a Jughead tattoo.

Ahhhh thank you!! I love this! Jughead is my favorite comic character too! I am also going as him for Halloween (to one party at least. Otherwise I am also going to be a sexy cowboy. Because I am these characters).
Best one yet! I think most of us know and have experience the true monsters of halloween (and every day, really).
All of this was pure GOLD. The true monsters of Halloween!!! And I DEEPLY sympathise with Andy’s feelings about Halloween. It truly is the queerest of holidays, and one of my favorites. It allowed me to play with gender at a time when I was still in the closet, and yeah. I just love Halloween. <3
