Riese’s Team Pick: Bright Pink Tears

I am in love with a gay boy and his name is JC Gonzalez. JC commented here, I liked his comment, clicked his name, and arrived at Bright Pink Tears, the home of JC's ethereal photography ("primarily women and feminine boys") and 'zine (titled “My Daughter Says She’s Genderfuck Now What The Fuck Does That Mean?”) and his blog which namedrops Annie Sprinkle, Sarah Haskins, and a 70's copy of The Village Voice. He's 20 you guys! 20!!

But really, what you must do is go to this FAQ page, scroll down to "Why is a Gay Boy Interested in Feminism?" and read his entire answer. As Associate Editor Sarah said, "he had me at Bikini Kill."

“Homophobia stems from gender role performance deviation.”

    So, so very true.
You know when you meet/hear about people and you know they’re the kind of person that are just naturally amazing/astonishing? This kid seems to be one of them.

    I’m in love.

I also agree on the “Homophobia stems from gender role performance deviation.” I feel like i tend to see less fear of sexuality, than fear of non-binary gender roles, but masked as homophobia.

You all are amazing! This kind of support makes me so honored, I know I’m on the right path as a young artist. Thanks, this pretty much made my holiday season.
