LEMON'S TEAM PICK:

Hey remember that time that you asked the Goddess of Queer Musical Happenings to bring you a rock show with three queer artists/bands that you currently have crushes on? Do you remember that? Because it seems that she's listened. Well done, everyone.

allison weiss, mal blum, mitten

Allison WeissMal Blum, and Mitten (obvs you've already heard of them) are playing a show this coming Monday, 8/6 at Public Assembly in Brooklyn. It starts at 8:30 and you should totally go buy tickets. I would also like to draw attention to the fact that, according to the Facebook page, "mal wants to unofficially call this the 2nd annual friendship feminism summertimes yeah! show..." Which, unfortunately, didn't make it onto this sweet poster, but hey!

To be honest, you guys don't even need me to tell you this is gonna be good, so what are you still doing on this page. Go forth and buy tickets! I'll see you there, yeah?

I don’t live anywhere near Brooklyn but I’m excited for anyone who gets to see Mal Blum (even if I can’t). I really really hope she plays The Vegan Song.

So, I’m not in the city yet, but I’m headed there this Sunday and Monday. Does anyone know of anything happening August 11 & 12? Thanks!

Aw shit before reading this I hadn’t heard of any of these people and now I’m both stoked and gutted because I’m on the other side of the planet and totally broke and can’t afford their music.
