6. High Art (Ally Sheedy & Rahda Mitchell, 1998)
Intern Elizabeth says: "The first time I saw High Art, my psuedoladyfriend made fun of me for crying, and when I said it was “sad & beautiful” she said it was just “tragic.” Whatever."

7. Fingersmith (Sally Hawkins & Elaine Cassidy, 2005)
Based on the Sarah Waters novel, Fingersmith is a Victorian-era thriller starring lesbians involved in intrigue and passion. Fingersmith means "thief," by the way, though Waters sure is clever with those double-entendrès!

8. Tipping the Velvet (UK 2002, Rachel Stirling & Keeley Hawes)
Based on the incredible novel by Sarah Waters, Tipping the Velvet features several sexual pairings for its protagonist. Intern Elizabeth says: "If for nothing else you should watch it for the cute British girls in mens’ suits."

9. Gia (1999, Angelina Jolie & Elizabeth Mitchell):
Intern Emily says: "Besides starring Angelina Jolie in a lesbian sex scene, Gia is an incredible and interesting movie. In fact I have a notebook filled with my favourite quotes."Buy the unrated version (that means more sex!) for $5 at amazon.

10. But I'm a Cheerleader (Clea Duvall & Natasha Lyonne, 1999)
Intern Lex says: "The film challenges, mocks and exposes the ridiculousness of gender norms on both sides of the game while charming audiences with nonstop campy humor and quick, witty dialogue. But most of all, there is Clea Duvall putting her hair behind her ear at just the right moment, being homosexy and making the movie end on a high note."
You can watch part four of the whole thing here, the sex scene starts at about 6:30. [Or buy But I'm a Cheerleader.]
