About Me

About Me

Madison is a fretful, twenty-three year old trans girl who has many loves in her life. Musically, she is currently engrossed in, but is not limited to, the ballads of Al Stewart, Wall of Voodoo, the Scissor Sisters, the Smiths, Cibo Matto, and that one GTOs albu– oh, you know it? Pull up a chair!

Sometimes she cooks. She’s getting better at it. Sometimes she tries to read, cook, and guzzle hootch at the same time — it is the multi-tasking of lazy people. Other hobbies include skimming textbooks and the classics for easily-digested quotations and factoids, and when there’s time, the cinema. Right now, at this very second, she is mid-way through the classic French musical ‘Les Parapluies de Cherbourg’, filmed in the wondrous, gaudy haze of a technicolour fever dream. She’ll let you know how it ends as soon as she does.

Do you remember that I said she was fretful? She’s fretting about what she’s put in this box. She started writing in the third-person and for some reason it’s like a switch activated in her brain – and – it – won’t – stop! So: kay, thanx, and bai, in that order.

What I Like

Favorite Sandwich

Tomato and vegan cheese, generally on a single slice of bread with a high wholewheat and grain content. Ploughman or pumperknickel are the favourites. Very dense, rich bread. It always has to be toasted. Actually, just make me whatever you want.

Favorite Thing to Autostraddle

Post-Structuralist discourse

Favorite Quotes

“Security is when everything is settled, when nothing can happen to you; security is the denial of life.” – Germaine Greer (I’ve got nothing better.)
