I worked in a very gay-friendly school (it was a performing arts magnet), so take this with a grain of salt.
On Halloween, a sweet, gay freshman boy in my class proudly showed up as Batgirl. SKINTIGHT latex, […]

I read quiche recipes and secretly wonder if I can omit the crust to make them gluten-free. Also… I don’t like pie crust (SSHHH it’s a secret).

Homo-sex is TOTALLY a threat to national security. All our newly-outed military personnel are so busy having sex with each other, they can’t protect the country!!
*facepalm*

Well, first of all, this whole series has completely opened my mind to trans issues and relationships. I’ve become a lot more sensitive and informed thanks to this feature. THANK YOU.

Would you ever keep an expensive bottle around just for the sex appeal? And fill it with the cheap stuff when dates come over?
More importantly, will you judge me if I have done this?

In reply to: Kelly posted an update in the group 'Straddling by the Bay Anyone know where to get an awesome supergay haircut in the bay, preferably around San Jose? ViewIf you’re okay with it being SUPER AMAZINGLY CHEAP (really, who isn’t?) try the Academy of Salon Professionals in Santa Clara. It may take a few hours (really, plan on two and a half at least), but it’s a phenomenal deal, and those girls (and guys) are super talented.

I know some older gay and lesbian couples that are SO FAR from edgy and experimental, it’s almost funny. They’re like, cute little old ladies. Somehow I don’t see how it’s so…edgy.

Could not agree more. More power to her. I hope she uses the money to pick herself up by her own bootstraps, because I would love to see her starring in some good films again.

I hate these labels. Jeez, way to make this MORE confusing for me. Although, it’s statistics. You know girls and math – we don’t do the maths so well, according to many. Can I just call myself what I want to call myself (a bisexual 2 on the Kinsey scale) without being scrutinized? Can’t I [...]

Is it shallow if I reply just to say that I love your hair? If that’s your natural color, I’m going to eat this whole pint of Ben and Jerry’s.
Oh, what the hell, I will anyway.

This just happened! My best friend is spending her twenty-fifth birthday in a country she hasn’t been in since she was six. It’s not for wonderful reasons, but for ugly, stupid deportation (US immigration = so backwards). Apparently Mumbai is really the smelliest city in the world. Since I didn’t have a permanent address for [...]

I thought I was shallow for noticing her highlights, which I hate. I just can’t even stomach her politics; I’d rather focus on something shallow instead.

You picked some really heavy texts! They’re all wonderful books, but I would strongly urge you to push through Dorian Gray and revel in its homoeroticism. There’s also a chapter you can skip. You’ll know it when you get to it, much like the whale anatomy chapters in Moby Dick.

Not all bigots are Christians, and not all Christians are bigots. In fact a majority (!!!) of non-fundamentalists support gay marriage: http://jezebel.com/5835789/poll-shows-many-religious-groups-support-gay-marriage
