Lex is a 19 year old full time student at NYU living in both NYC and Long Island. Having dedicated her whole childhood to the sport she now plays goalkeeper for the NYU women’s soccer team. She chose to study journalism because she does not like money or job security. She enjoys: Horror films, being a music junkie, playing call of duty with her 11 year old brother when she don’t feel like being an adult, wearing fake mustaches to non-costume parties, and being irrationally attracted to women with big ears.
Emily Choo
Emily Choo likes Canada. Coincidentally, she’s lived there for a long time, in the same city as Sara Quin! They’ve never met, but you know if they did they would hit it off right away. She lives by one rule and one rule only: LOL. All the other important Emily-related info can be caught up on here.
Vashti Selix
At the ripe age of 19, Vashti is innocently here to intern her heart out. Vashti is a full time student at the University of Oregon where she’s pursuing a degree in human physiology (though you wouldn’t know it based on what she talks about or how she spends her free time) while surrounded by hippies, rain and granola. She enjoys arts & crafts [as evidenced on her tumblr] and being too invested in the internet. She is currently struggling to end her destructive relationship with 4 AM.

Whatever Lola wants, Lola (works really hard and) gets. She ran off to college at age 15, and chose to major in the magnificent/jobless field of English Literature. Now 21 and a professional web-geek, Lola lives her life in pursuit of good times and adventure. Somewhat of a vagrant, she has moved back and forth across the states in her lovingly abused car, Greta. She once had a tire blowout on the 101 freeway, and quickly learned how to change a flat. When Lola isn’t having exciting, near-death experiences on the open road, she enjoys curling up with a novel or her sketchbook. Elizabeth Bradshaw
Elizabeth always knew she’d grow up to be an unemployed starving artist. She studied Architecture a bit but ended up with a BA in Writing with a focus in Poetry & a minor in Art History. She also has an AutoCAD certificate & takes 2D arts & graphic design classes. Elizabeth is a nerdy, clumsy (almost) pescatarian who collects tattoos, scars, books, dvds, music, magazines & useless information. She’s anxiously awaiting the procurement of La Casa de Autostraddle because A;ex promised her there’d be pillow forts & cardboard-box rockets. Elizabeth waxes all poetical here. (p.s.- Elizabeth has many odd nicknames, but if you call her Liz or Beth she’ll bite you.)
Lily I.
Lily grew up wanting to become a Ukrainian figure skater but instead realized that she had a fear of skating, jumping, oppressive governments, and ice—thus began her work in the very scary world of classical piano. Lily is barely legal and is currently attending Barnard College in New York City (also known as the lesbian counterpart to Columbia University, a stereotype that Lily desperately hopes to be true). Lily likes to think of herself as a Lilith-Fair-worthy singer/songwriter and thinks you should listen to her poorly recorded songs here!Also she just made a twitter in order to stalk her favorite celesbians, follow her here!
Daphne Duck
In her homeland of Belgium, Daphne enjoys easy access to two of her favoritest things — good beer & delicious chocolate. Although Daphne considers herself a “beer connoisseur,” her actual number one feeling is music, including but not limited to: hot female singers, shiny instruments, witty lyrics, awesome performances, mixing consoles, studying Musicology at Leuven University and Sound Itself. She also loves traveling, nature, writing, cats and dogs that get along with each other, stones, vinyl ep’s and buttons. Furthermore Daphne has a one eyed goat as a pet. Daphne loves her one-eyed goat very much.
Zahra
Zahra is a sophomore at Stanford University where she’s studying useful subjects like English & French Literature. She’s a fan of good television, oxford commas, panthers, music that bounces, old books, new books, brunch and school.

Nicole P.
Nicole tends to text too much, takes too many pics then refuses to delete them off her computer, and always has sunglasses on. She is interested in anything to do with the Red Sox (Jacoby Ellsbury), is a big fan of the beach, must travel every few months to stay sane and Tina Fey is among her favorite people. She will always give up her seat on a crowded subway to someone with a child, gives $ she does not have to charity, food to the homeless and wants to make the world a better place, one step at a time.
Nicole hails from MA, where she has lived since she was 3, has gone to college in 3 states, currently in NYC. Her room in MA is a storage area of her past, against her parents liking.
