went to college at uwm ..was a great experience there,now live in the fox valley.I really did love the night life there,and school was a blast.Good to hear that there progressing with the lgbt community…

Woo! Glad to see some love for Madison here. This city’s fantastic.
A quick addition: There’s also an LGBTQ bar/club that opened fairly recently called Sotto. It’s on Henry Street right off State Street.

The Mad Rollin’ Dolls are a fantastic derby league (I’ll be taking pictures at their bout tonight, actually) – and super duper queer friendly/infiltrated.

I would have mentioned them if this had been a city guide (and I’m kind of kicking myself for not pitching a Madison city guide as well), but I’m glad you mentioned them here!

I feel like this is a sign. I’m moving back to Wisconsin after six or so years in Washington DC. I will clearly have to go to Madison on a more regular basis. (I’ve lived in Wisconsin off and on since 2002 and only ever been there twice.)
