Yes, thank you readers and Autostraddle so much for your support on “Track Meet”! It’s actually been incredible to see the Kickstarter take off in such a short amount of time.

I’ve already decided that all the extra funds raised from our goal is going to be used to pay our amazing, sweaty, angsty cast & crew that worked super hard and deserve it. So to anyone that was considering donating, know that for the remaining 8 days that the Kickstarter is still up, your donations will not go to waste at all. It’s been amazing so far. Update on the “Track Meet” Kickstarter project: It looks like funds jumped from $205 to $545 from yesterday to today! I’d like to think that this article and all of you at Autostraddle had had something to do with it.

Keep contributing if you’re interested in funding this film, though — I’m assuming any and all contributions are welcome.

Hmm, my rational side says how much can you learn about a film from a couple of minutes of watching a girl running? But my romantic side says that was deffo the most intriguing couple of minutes of watching a girl running I’ve seen since Paula Radcliffe stopped for a wee in the London Marathon, and way less gross.

Then there’s the age-old problem of lesbian films in general: for every But I’m a Cheerleader there are ten Claires of the Moon. What if I inadvertently ended up funding the next Bloomington? I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.

Why is being a lesbian so complicated?
