Hey! Does anyone know if there is any form of LGBT support in the Oakland County area? I’ve tried google and came up pretty empty handed… I’m desperately in need some support nearby.

Hey! If you have a way to get to Ferndale, you could check out Affirmations (http://www.goaffirmations.org/). I haven’t been there myself, but I’ve heard really, really awesome things about the work they do. At the very least, they could probably help you find information about what you need. Good luck!

I think it totally depends on what part of the city you go to. I live in Grand Rapids. Although I moved here post-college, I know GVSU has an active LGBT group. I don’t know what the atmosphere on campus is like but they should be able to tell you?

  I just moved into a place by Eastown last week and my dad warned me about the Dutch, LOL.
  
  I just signed up as a volunteer for the West Michigan PRIDE fest happening in June, and I’m hoping to run into the GVSU group. I know there is one, but I don’t know how active/big it is.

      I’m waiting to hear back on one, he was s’posed to call me today but didn’t so I guess I’ll have to call tomorrow. :X I’ve also emailed and dropped off resumes at some places, hopefully something pans out soon.
