I canvassed in Maine this past weekend and (while I was in a pretty liberal county,) the older people were incredibly nice and supportive of gay marriage. A sweet older woman even offered for Maine and Mass Equality to use her office on election day.

Still, from what’s being seen in absentee and early voting, it’s a dead heat. I hate how Question 1 is worded- I feel like a lot of people are going to vote counter to where they actually stand on the issue.

I want to go to a party where Obama signs off on ending Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and I want Phillip to be there too!
