It worked for MLK, really. I don’t know how may times he got arrested, but civil disobedience to some extent worked then. That + boycotts.

Politically, civil disobedience tends to be the way to go, but ONLY if you can get enough people to do it. If the movement’s too small, it’s more perceived as annoying. Also, the gay community has much better allies than the civil rights movement did.

It all boils down to EVERYONE DO WHATEVER YOU CAN SO WE CAN GET THIS SHIT OVER WITH.

yeah i’m worried about dan choi too. i like that he keeps fighting for gay rights but is repeatedly getting arrested the way to go? i guess that’s the debate rachel’s article is all about.

i’m excited about constance’s story having a happy ending in the courts, i felt like nothing was working out how we expected it to. i feel like she did make a difference despite having an entire school against her… like the homophobic prom committee met their match in constance.

also i am worried about dan choi’s sanity, is that weird
