Brittani’s Video Party: Robin Thicke, Willow Smith, and Reggie Watts Send a Mass Text

Greetings. This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

Robin Thicke covered Icona Pop’s “I Love It” and somehow the lyrics seem ultra sincere and almost make sense? He seems like such a strange man but he covers the shit out of this song.

Child genius Willow Smith strikes again with Melodic Chaotic’s video, “Summer Fling.” Oh, you want to put out a video that includes two girls sweetly holding hands and are ready to embrace non-heterosexuality in your videos even before grown ass queer artists do? No, please, continue.

Reggie Watts wants you to know that if you think you’re fucking, then you’re probably fucking. He doesn’t come out and say that this song is a slap in the face to everyone who only deems P in the V REAL SEX but that’s obviously what it is. Clearly he’s seen the chart.

The latest “hey this song is terrible on purpose in hopes that it will go viral” is “Mass Text” by Tay Allyn. At least “Friday” was enjoyable. This song just makes me want to stop being friends with all white people.

If you have a video you think everyone should see, tweet it to @bishilarious for consideration. And of course feel free to post your favorite videos from the week below.

  1. I heard the “i love it” cover when it was live on the radio and thought it was amazing! fyi the live lounge release albums every year of the live covers that artists do there, all of them have been pretty sweet so far.

No. Please dont continue. Those 3 seconds of two girls holding hands does not make me turn my cheek to how disappointed I am with this song. Initially I was going to comment how ‘willow is only 12 & this song is too mature for her.’ But after thinking it over I feel this song is a good example of how society, culture, even parents put too much pressure on children & teens to grow up too fast. How sad for Willow. How sad for all the kids out there.

    • I really like the song but you’re right it seems too old for a 12 year old, especially the video. I had to go looking for the hand holding cuz I missed it the first time.

  3. The cover by Robin Thicke <3

The Willow Smith song is good but she is too young to be having any summer flings. I never had summer flings when I was 12,13,14,15,16….wait a min..

  4. I feel Reggie Watts’s song is too mature for Willow Smith but “summer fling” isn’t so much it might be uneasy but it isn’t the worst thing in the world for her to sing it

  5. Re: Mass Text

Uggggggggggggggh, if you don’t want white friends, I don’t want to be white anymore.

  6. I like how in the ‘I Love It’ cover Robin Thicke finally admits the way he relates to women is at least 20 years behind the curve.

  7. Okay, yeah. I watched about a minute of that Wlllow video and man, it makes me sad how quickly we want children to grow up.
