Be Here Nowish is a comedy webseries by Natalia Leite and Alexandra Roxo about two sexually progressive New Yorkers who head to Los Angeles in search of a spiritual awakening. Episodes 1-7 have been up on their website for a while and episodes 8-10 came out today. Start binge watching now.

Obvious Child is an upcoming film that stars Jenny Slate who according to every thing on the internet gives one hell of a performance. The movie is about a comedian in crisis and also stars her bestie Gabe Liedman. I’m so into this you don’t even know.

A Southwest flight attendant served up a 3-minute safety speech that had an entire plane in stitches. If I was on that plane, I’d have already been sleep because that’s how I do.

I thought about putting SNL’s Dyke & Fats in the last video party but I’m glad I waited because Kate McKinnon gave some backstory on how this sketch with Aidy Bryant came to be.

This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

Brittani Nichols is a Los Angeles based comedy person. When she's not tweeting about white people or watching television, she's probably eating pizza. Actually, she's probably doing all three of those things concurrently and when she's not doing THAT, she's sleeping. Brittani also went to Yale and feels weird about mentioning it but wants you to know.

  1. i’m really excited for this movie starring marcel the shell and adam’s crazy sister. thank you brittani.

  2. I’ve been really loving everything that Bryant and McKinnon touch on SNL, including the video you posted, McKinnon’s Angela Merkel, and the “Dongs All Over The World” parody of Talk Dirty to Me. I had been really sad/concerned about whether or not this new crop of SNL women could live up to Maya, Kristen, Rachel, Amy, and Tina. But I LOVE McKinnon, Bryant, Nasim Pedrad, Vanessa Bayer, Cecily Strong, and I think Sasheer Zamata is finding her groove, too. I think this is the most diverse female cast SNL has ever had: a lesbian, a fat cast member, an Iranian, a Jew, a black cast member, and Noel Wells’ African/Hispanicness.

    • Nasim Pedrad is Iranian American. Idk how she identifies so maybe just go with facts instead of deciding on people’s identities for them?

      • I’m sorry, that was more harshly worded than I intended. It’s just that I’m Middle Eastern and I don’t think of myself as a person of color (I don’t think of myself as white either, I just don’t like the implications of PoC) and yet people (well meaning people even!) keep calling me a person of color without bothering to find out how I would refer to myself. And ethnicity and identity are complex and layered things that you can’t reduce to just a label? So I mean, she’s a first generation immigrant and she’s Iranian American and those are facts that I will use when I’m being happy about the diversity in SNL’s cast.

  3. You guys, “Obvious Child” is REALLY GOOD. I didn’t write about it in my Sundance recap because it isn’t very gay but it was one of my favorite things at the festival and I’m already counting down the days until it comes out in theatres so I can see it again.

  4. LMAO FOREVER at that hilarious flight attendant. Whenever I fly, I usually get freaked out and anxious about the plane crashing, so it would have been great having someone like her on the plane to distract me with laughter!
