You're so right about the amazing community and connection between AFP and her fanbase. I think she's one of the most real, sincere artists in that way. When she was in Australia a few months ago she invited 45 fans to a free, secret "slumber party"/show at a tiny bar in South Melbourne. We arrived in our PJs at midnight and she played piano, sang, chatted and then just hung out with us until like 4 in the morning. It was one of the most trippy yet real experiences I've ever had. Seriously, who the hell else loves their fans so much that they go to such efforts to be so connected with them? Great review and awesome cartoon recaps!
