  EVERYONE IS JEALOUS OF YOU, did you skip an update and is that why you’re special, cos if that’s why then at least I can be superior.
  
  I had to switch to firefox but it’s no big deal, I run them both 24/7 anyway for my two different google IDs, twitter accounts, etc.
  
  Also I have to tell you Riese that this is THE. BEST. technical issues post I have ever seen in my life.

1) I’ve found it works on chrome for Mac but not for PC, so basically that means I can’t read autostraddle at work, which is probably good for my career?

2) I don’t know if this is useful, but http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/autostraddle.com seems to think it is down as well, which might support the redirect theory?

3) let us know if you need us to call and annoy hostgator
on your behalf, I’ve got a half-day at work tomorrow. Also, let us know about the subsequent boycott.

  people who prefer google products, much like people who prefer apple products (i am an apple person, so i am one of these people) tend to get very upset when they cannot use what they feel is the most sophisticated item on the market, in this case that item is google chrome.

  Can’t speak for everyone, but I’m on a netbook with exactly 600 pixels of vertical screen real estate, so I prefer Google Chrome on account of it having way less crap taking up space at the top and bottom of the screen.
  
  But look, I opened Firefox, and it didn’t kill me! *thumbs up*

I’m on Ggl Chrome (intel Mac) and it works. Firefox is bugged on my iMac.

  I like how it took this long for Opera to be mentioned. Guys if you are not cool with Firefox 3.6 being slower than your crock pot then try out Opera it’s great. Super fast! Although actually the Firefox 4 beta is pretty fast too.
  
  Also I am on Chrome on Mac and PC and it works fine. On Linux though, it doesn’t seem to be working.

This post just gave me the best career idea ever: Tech support with kittens. Somehow you get to borrow a kitten while receiving tech support. You can thus calm yourself by petting the kitten and relax while all your technological woes are taken care of.

Omg I thought I was going insane trying to get AS to work in Chrome. I recently had to go through my registry and delete a bunch of java stuff (long story) and since AS wouldn’t work after that, I thought I’d deleted a necessary file on accident.

I feel much better knowing this. I’m using IE at the moment (I deleted Firefox because redirecting tracking cookies would never go away and giving me viruses) and can’t wait to get back to Chrome!

Thanks for the kitty cats, they seriously made my afternoon much more lively.
