Amazon CEO Gives Biggest Bucks to Gay Marriage
2.5 million dollars for Washington state’s same-sex marriage movement? Check.
Amazon.com CEO and founder Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie donated $2.5 million Friday toward a campaign focused around defending Washington’s same-sex marriage law. Now, Washington United for Marriage has raised over 5 million dollars. Zach Silk, campaign manager, called the donation a “game changer.” He also claims the 2.5 million dollar contribution is the largest publicly recorded gift to a marriage campaign ever.
Jennifer Cast, a former Amazon employee, inspired the history-making donation: she emailed the couple about marriage equality in Washington and urged them “not to sit on the sidelines and hope the vote goes our way.” They responded, “We’re in for 2.5 million.” That’s how I answer all my emails.

Barney Frank supports the introduction of same-sex marriage into his party’s platform. The charge to officially include marriage equality in the platform is being led by a lesbo couple.
Rep. Barney Frank, the outspoken gay Democrat from Massachusetts, today said he supports the Democratic Party platform formally including support for marriage equality, attendees at a hearing about the content of the platform told BuzzFeed.
Frank sits on the Democratic Party Platform Drafting Committee and is a Democratic Reprensentative from Massachusetts. He spoke out about marriage equality at a committee hearing in Minneapolis.

Florida Liuteniant Governor Jennifer Carrol has apologized for her previous statements which shook the world:
“It is wrong and inexcusable to make a comment that hurts people, and that was not my intention,’’ Carroll wrote in a letter to Equality Florida director Nadine Smith. “As a Christian, my faith guides me to love and respect all people. The false charges that have been lodged against me are no excuse for what I have said that may have been hurtful to members of your organization and to other Floridians.
“Please know that I am committed to treating every person with the utmost courtesy, respect and dignity and I hope you will accept my heartfelt apology,’’ she wrote.

Ok, fine, I totally re-watched it to oogle/melt into a puddle of feelings again with the added bonus of vaguely recognizing the 12th street station.
marilyn monroe was in a gay-tastic movie, “some like it hot”. it features men in drag, a lesbian-ish kiss, and lots of gay moments. it was released in 1959 and for me, if they can release such a risque movie in that time period, there is hope for today. (dont let the black and white film turn you away, it had to be done because the drag make up was so garrish in color)
I’ve heard that Gotye song close to a hundred times now and yet this video still made me tear up. I think what this shows is how well written the song is. Everyone can see themselves in it.
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this whole KStew scandal is about as real as TomKat’s marriage.
Whilst she stayed at the hotel I work at filming for Snow White and the Huntsman, the director fella actually broke into her room and the hotel a few nights to see her. I wouldn’t write it off.

Re: Jennifer Carroll, yeah, that was a better-than-average political apology. But does anyone else think “As a Christian…” in an apology is the adult’s version of “My mom says I have to apologize…”?
Yes, but I like it that way. “God says I have to be nicer than I feel like being” is the way it’s supposed to work. So much better than the popular right-wing “Golly, I’d certainly treat you decently if it were up to me, but I have to obey God and God is a jerk”.
About the Marilyn liking girls topic:
Many people believe Marilyn Monroe had Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) also known as Emotion Dysregulation Disorder. While not really understood why, BPD patients are frequently bisexual and lesbian. By NO means am I saying someone’s sexuality is a result of a mental illness, but it’s interesting nevertheless. It could be as random of a coincidence that depressed people have a higher risk of gingivitis.
I think more study needs to go into BPD, as the sexuality symptom seems a bit judgmental in my opinion.
This may have been my favorite Sunday Funday ever. Reasons:
