Tell us what you want to put in your piehole or suggest your own recipes, and we’ll talk about which things we made, which things we loved, and which things have changed us irreversibly as people. Last week, we used our microwaves

Let’s be clear: you don’t need to deprive or “detox” after the holidays. Eating pie for a few days doesn’t mean that you need to eat nothing but celery afterwards. That said, sometimes after eating pie for a few days, you genuinely crave something that tastes a little less like butter and a little more like it grew on a tree. These snacks are perfect for that feeling, or for hosting your New Year’s Eve bash for your friends who have all declared they’re going to go gluten-free, vegan AND paleo in 2015. We have tried to minimize the presence of both kale chips and variations on the nut-based “energy bite.” All bets are off when it comes to spiced nuts and granola, though.

  1. You can never have too many varieties of spiced nuts or granola.

Also, those sweet potato nachos sound brilliant.

  2. I just made the edamame hummus w/cilantro. Delicious with some turkish bread. Just one thing: can you make the links automatically open in a new tab?

  3. Been trying to figure what baked plantain recipe is trying to accomplish.
It looks like an attempt to find a middle ground between tostones and maduros.

Maduros are what most people think of when they think of fried plantains, soft, sticky and sweet. Kinda sorta like banana part of banana’s foster.

Tostones are what people end up with who don’t know you have to wait till the skin is black to get the sticky sweetness. xD
They’re almost comparable to steak fries in a way and one of my favorite edible things ever.
If anybody want to know how do them I’ll pm ya or post it Open Thread someday with other food things that need sharing.

So much goodness on this list, kudos y’all.
Apple chips healthy snack and glorious add in for breads and baked fruit crumbles. :3
